Marah honey I truly love these ruffles - so pretty and feminine and what a great way to use vintage dress patterns. Alas sewing is not my strong suit (AT ALL!! GIGGLE). I love your bird cage! I've wanted one for so long but they are incredibly hard to find here in NZ. Very sad! xxx

Did you use a ruffler? What kind of needle did you use? I have loads of patterns. I would love to do something like this for my christmas tree.

I did this a couple years ago too. it looks great with crepe paper too. especially the black. it leaves a gross dust all over your machine though. (I would recommend using your oldest machine!)
